MMU32K Diary
The following pages contain pictures and diary entries relating to the restoration and maintenance of a MkIV Triumph Spitfire. The story of my Spitfire Mk4 starts in 1992,
when I bought it from a scrap yard, with the intension of rebuilding her
as a present for my wife on our wedding day. And this I did. The car
arrived at my house in various cardboard boxes and the rest on a
trailer, and 5 weeks later it was all back together again, with a new
engine, wheels, seats and sprayed black.
My wife loved the Spitfire, she bombed around in
the car for a year, until 1993 when she found that the developing bump that
was soon to be our first son, impeded the getting in and out of the
Cobra bucket seats. There was nothing for it, my wife was going to start
driving my
car and me the Spitfire.
