4 Seville oranges, 4 sweet oranges
1 gallon water
5 ripe bananas
4 oz. sultanas or raisins
3 1/4 Ib. sugar
1 nutrient tablet
Sherry yeast
Method as for grapefruit wine, except that the bananas should be peeled and mashed and only the mashed banana should be added; this gives additional body to the wine.
Whilst it is by no means essential, if, when you are bottling this wine, you have some gin available, you will find that a small glass of gin added to each bottle of orange wine imparts a very smooth satiny finish and when eventually served will immediately become a firm favourite with your guests.
