Currently I am in the process of restoring a hardtop, I bought from a scrap yard. The roof only cost £15.00, and needs quite a bit of work doing to it. Other parts I have recently acquired are electronic rev counter, overdrive gear stick and a rather strange Kenlowe fan that fixes on with long skinny bolts that go through the radiator core..

The bits have arrived and are now all fitted to the car. All the parts were fitted, there were no real problems fitting the Spax and the new springs or the disks and new Green Stuff pads. There was a small problem fitting the rocker cover as the studs in the head are about 2 cm too short.

As a by product of upgrading the suspension, I noticed that the roll bar was bent too, this was changed as well. Worryingly, the car still stands slightly higher on the passenger side...

Since my last update, I have replaced a whole load more stuff. I have replaced the boot lid with a glass fibre lid. Autodex ltd. sprayed it as a favor because of the hassle I had after the accident. I have replaced all four tyres with slightly wider rears (205/60r13) and 175/70r13 fronts. I had to do this as the car was wheel spinning in second gear and was almost undrivable. I have also changed the rear leaf spring which all but collapsed. The new spring from Moss, has made a great difference to the ride height and the handling. I assume it will bed in soon.

The new brakes are nicely bedded in, and boy, does it stop now!!!! I had to get use the whirring noise the vented disks made, but the braking power is infinitely better now.
